Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard finalized a trade with the Nebraska Danger for defensive back Jamie Bender in exchange for 3 players. Coming to Green Bay are defensive linemen Cory Grissom and Colton Miles-Nash, and defensive back Scott Williams.

Grissom (6'3'', 320 lbs.) has compiled 2 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, and 2 fumble recoveries so far this season from the nose guard position. Grissom and Miles-Nash (6'6'', 270 lbs.) will be looking to improve a Blizzard pass rush which has only 2 sacks this season.

Williams (6'4'', 220 lbs.) comes to Green Bay from Hampton University and experience playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). His size should help strengthen the Blizzard defensive backfield which is giving up 156 yards per game passing in 2016.

Bender requested a trade and leaves the Blizzard leading the team in tackles (37) and interceptions (2). "Jamie Bender is an outstanding football player", says head coach Chris Williams. "You can see that with the quality and number of players we were able to get in return. Sometimes players want to try new things and I am happy we were able to work it out to where both Jamie and the Blizzard are happy with the deal".

The next Blizzard game is scheduled for Friday, April 15 at Aurora BayCare Freeze Field at the Resch Center against the Billings Wolves. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm and tickets are available now at the Resch Center box office or online at www.TicketStarOnline.com.
