Blizzard Schedule Make-Up Tryout

The Green Bay Blizzard and Head Coach Rik Richards announced today that the team will hold a Try Out on Friday October 29th to make up for the August camp that was hampered by road construction and road closures. Construction made it extremely difficult to locate and reach the workout facility. The tryout will take place at the Sports Emporium located at 1865 Nimitz Drive in De Pere, WI 54115. Because of the construction, directions to Sports Emporium are as follows: Take the Scheuring Rd. Exit (Exit 161) and make a right onto Mid Valley frontage Rd. headed north. Take the first left onto Eisenhower Rd. Take a left onto Sand Acres Dr. Take a left onto Quarry Park Rd. and at the stop sign proceed straight. Take a left onto Mid Valley Dr. and then take another left onto Nimitz Dr. For more information and directions, please call the Sports Emporium at 920-336-1900 or the Blizzard office at 920-405-1264.

Registration and warm-up will begin at 7:00am with the tryout starting at 8:00am. The registration fee to tryout is $35 (cash or credit card only) before 5pm on Wednesday October 27th or $50 at the door.

The Sports Emporium is a state-of-the-art indoor sports facility with professional field turf on two fields. Athletes of all skill levels are encouraged to tryout and live their dream of becoming a professional football player. Players must bring their own workout attire for the indoor facility (cleats recommended) and must be 18 years of age or older to tryout. Be prepared to be evaluated in the following drills: 40-yard dash, Short Shuttle, four cone drill, standing broad jump, agility drills, position-specific drills and 8-on-8. This tryout will NOT include kickers; the Blizzard will hold additional tryouts for kickers as well as positional players. Dates and times are yet to be determined.
