Blizzard Re-Sign Defensive Back Shawn Steele II

The Green Bay Blizzard have announced the re-signing of defensive back Shawn Steele II for the 2024 season.
Steele II (5-11, 195), entering his third year in the Indoor Football League, joined the Blizzard during the 2022 season. He appeared in five games for Green Bay, putting up 22 tackles into the stat sheet. He re-signed with the Blizzard in February 2023 and was a strong presence in the secondary. In his 12 appearances, he racked up 43.5 tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions and six pass breakups.
Steele is a native of Arlington, Texas and played collegiately at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. In his four seasons with the Golden Lions, he made 36 appearances and recorded 176 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, one sack, six interceptions, 34 pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks. He also earned All-SWAC honors in 2019.
"I'm super excited to return back to Green Bay for another season and to play the game I love," Steele said. "This will be my second full season with the team, and I'm looking forward to winning it all this year. Go Blizz!"
