"Blizzard" Forecasted for Louisville on Saturday

May 30, 2007 - arenafootball2 (af2) - Louisville Fire News Release

Louisville, KY - The Louisville Fire (4-4) host the Green Bay Blizzard (4-3) on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 7:00pm in Freedom Hall. It will be the Blizzard who receives a chilly reception this week as the Fire look to avenge last week's loss against division rival Quad City Steamwheelers 51-57. The Blizzard is looking for their first win after a bye-week.

The Blizzard is looking to jump-start their stagnate offense that has only scored more than 40 points twice this season and was held to a season low 21 points against the Tennessee Valley Vipers earlier this season. Against the Jungle Kats, Blizzard QB Zeke Dixon completed 18 of 31 attempts and scored five touchdowns leading the Blizzard to a 48-38 victory.

Where the Blizzard lack in offensive power they definitely make up with defense. Possessing the number one ranked defense in the league, the Blizzard look to extinguish the seventh-ranked Fire offense attempting to stifle the attack of Fire QB Joel Steele, FB Demetrius Foreny and WR Tiger Jones. The Fire will not make this an easy task last decimating the Alabama Steeldogs defense at home two weeks ago 53-35 in front of 9,872 fired-up fans.

The Fire are offering a two for one special on tickets for this game to promote the most exciting professional sport in Kentucky - The Louisville Fire Arena Football team.
