
Blitz Remain in Top 10 in Weekly Coaches Poll

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Blitz are ranked 10th in the latest edition of the weekly Top 16 Coaches Poll. The Blitz fell to the Tri-Cities Fever, 54-49, on Saturday night. For the fifth week in a row, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers have been ranked 1st. The Pioneers, who are off to their best start in franchise history, defeated the Tennessee Valley Vipers, 34-30, this weekend.

The Bakersfield Blitz (4-3) hit the road this week to take the Everett Hawks (1-6) on Sunday, May 27, at 3:00 p.m. The Hawks are coached by former Blitz Defensive Coordinator Cedric Walker.
The Blitz will return home on Saturday, June 9th to take on the defending ArenaCup Champions, the Spokane Shock (4-3). The Blitz defeated the Shock, 44-28, in Week 7 in Spokane. The Blitz will be promoting to "Paint the Town Red" and are encouraging everyone in attendance to wear red to the game. The team will also hold its second Athletic Equipment Drive of the season, this time to benefit Operation Soulwinner. Prior to the game, the Blitz will host the third Women of Wisdom (WOW!) seminar featuring LaMeka Burton of the Bakersfield Women's Business Conference. Finally, for this game only, "All-You-Can-Eat" Blitz Buffet tickets will be available for just $20.
