Bakersfield Blitz News Release
Bakersfield - Due to triple digit weather forecasts, Bakersfield Blitz Vice President, Paul Press, announced today a Beat the Heat ticket giveaway. When senior citizens, ages 55 and over, present a photo I.D. at the box office on Sunday, June 25 they will receive one free general admission ticket.
As peak temperatures are expected to be during the hours of 2-6 p.m., the Blitz invite all senior citizens to get out of the heat and join the team in the largest, "coolest" building in Bakersfield, Rabobank Arena. Arena doors will open at 2:00 p.m. and kick off is set for 3:00 p.m. against the Arkansas Twisters.
Sunday's game against the Twisters is also "Faith and Family Night." There will be a special appearance by Veggie Tale stars, Bob and Larry, as well as a half time show featuring pastors in the community for a pass, kick, and punt competition.
For those who are not senior citizens, great seats are still available for as low as $10 in the lower bowl. For more information, please call 377-BLITZ or visit www.bakersfieldblitz.com.
