Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Kamloops, B.C. -- Former Brandon Wheat Kings' left-winger Richard Jasovsky has landed in Kamloops.
The 19-year old Slovakian born forward was listed by the Blazers, after being released by the Wheat Kings this past summer.
In Kamloops, Jasovsky will be reunited with Dean Clark, who coached Brandon for two seasons before leaving for B.C. in 2003. Jasovsky played the 2002-03 campaign under Clark.
To make room, Kamloops released 17-year old Russian Anatoli Vasiliev.
In other WHL news, the Kootenay Ice have traded 18-year old defenceman Donny Lloyd to the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for a sixth round bantam draft choice.
"With 8 defenceman on the roster, not everyone was going to be able to play every night," stated Ice GM Jeff Chynoweth.
Lloyd will make his Bronco debut this weekend.
