Baltimore Blast: 8-3 after loss against Syracuse
Syracuse Silver Knights: 8-4 after win against Baltimore
Max Ferdinand is 9th in the league with 27 points while Tony Donatelli (25), Mike Lookingland (23), and Marco Mangione (19) also are in the top 20 point leaders in the league. Mike Lookingland and Pat Healey are tied with each other for second in the league in blocked shots (21).
1/19 Knights Game Recap:
The Baltimore Blast fell on the road to Syracuse last week snapping a 7 game win streak. Offensively, Mike Lookingland led the Blast with 4 points and defensively, goalkeeper, William Vanzela recorded 30 saves while Mike Lookingland and Pat Healey both had 3 blocks on the night.
Defense Wins Games:
The Baltimore Blast leads the league in points against this season with 52. With two players tied for second in the league in blocked shots (Healey and Lookingland) and Vanzela in goal, the Blast are able to hold opponents to very few scoring chances. Goalkeeper William Vanzela is 5-3 on the year and is first in the league in points against average (5.18) and also maintains the league's best save percentage (.835).
Friday's Competition 1/24:
The Baltimore Blast take on Syracuse in a rematch this Friday after losing to them in the final minute of play. They are led by Kenardo Forbes who has 43 points this season including a goal in the previous matchup against the Blast. The Knight's goalie Brian O'Quinn looks to get his 8th win of the season and comes into the matchup with a .790 save percentage. The Knights are coached by Tommy Tanner.
Saturday's Competition 1/25:
The Blast take on the Rochester Lancers for the third time this season. The Blast are 2-0 against the team who is led offensively by Gary Boughton with 29 points and Doug Miller who is the reigning MISL Most Valuable Player. The Lancers are coached by Josh Rife.
