Baltimore, MD - The Blast hosted the 1-10 Seawolves on Sunday evening at the SECU Arena. With a dominating performance, the Blast were victorious 14-3.
The game got off to a slow start with Orlando recording two goals in the first quarter. Rapha Tobias and Jeff Michaud recorded goals for the Seawolves.
The Blast would get on the board at the 6:19 mark in the second with a goal from Michael da Silva assisted by Jonathan Melo. Vini Dantas would tie the game at two with his 24th goal of the season and before the end of the half, Lucas Roque would record a goal assisted by Jamie Thomas to give the Blast their first lead of the game. At the half, the Blast led 3-2.
The Blast offense exploded in the third quarter recording six straight goals. Vini Dantas, Victor France, Lucas Roque, Juan Pereira, and Tony Donatelli (two goals) extended the Blast lead while William Vanzela and the Blast defense held the Seawolves scoreless in the quarter. The Blast entered the final quarter leading 9-2.
In the final period, Lucas Roque and Vini Dantas were able to complete hat tricks while Jamie Thomas, Victor France, and Michael da Silva also contributed goals to seal the victory. At the final buzzer, the Blast defeated the Seawolves 14-3.
The Blast were led by Lucas Roque who recorded three goals and one assist. Jamie Thomas, Jonathan Melo, and Vini Dantas all recorded three points on the night and the Blast saw 11 players record a point in the victory.
The Blast hit the road for a game in San Diego Wednesday, February 12. Kickoff is at 10:35 p.m. EST and the match can be viewed live on MASL TV.
