Baltimore Players to Watch:

The Blast began the 2019-20 regular season with an 8-7 victory over Utica City FC. Friday night's victory starred two players in particular, as Juan Pereira recorded a game-high four assists in the victory. Daniel Peruzzi returned from his long-term injury from last season with a stunning three goals and one assist. Forward Vini Dantas bagged two goals and an assist, while Ibrahima Keita scored a game-high two goals Friday.

William Vanzela had faced 20 shots on goal and saved 13, putting together a strong performance against one of the league's most potent offenses. Forward Andrew Hoxie and midfielder Jonatas Melo both scored a goal each, with Melo scoring the game-winning goal. The Blast are 1-2 on the road in Utica all-time and will look to continue their great form heading into the second game of the weekend.

Marco Nascimento will miss Sunday's game against Utica as he recovers from an injury sustained from last season. The Blast are coached by Head Coach Danny Kelly & Assistant Coach David Bascome.

The Competition - Utica City FC

Utica City FC will look to avenge their season opening loss against the Blast with a victory in their home opener. Ex-San Diego Socker Christian Segura tallied a hat-trick in Friday night's opener, while captain Bo Jelovac continued his great form against the Blast with one goal and two assists. Defender Jake Schindler recorded two points, as four other players, including goalkeeper Andrew Coughlin, chipped in with one point

Defenders Darren Toby and Ben Ramin are looking to tighten up the Utica City defense that conceded eight goals in the season opener. Utica City FC is coached by Head Coach Ryan Hall and Assistant Coach Casey Murphy.
