Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades are set to play host to the Regina Pats tomorrow night in Saskatoon.
The game finishes off a two game in two night matchup with Regina, as the team's also meet tonight in the provincial capital.
The Blades enter tonight's game as winners of two straight games as they look to keep the strong play going.
For tomorrow night's game, the Blades will look to be getting a boost in goal as Andrey Makarov is expected to return to the lineup for the game. The Russian goaltender was the star performer in the Gold Medal game at the World Junior Hockey Championships last night in Calgary.
Makarov stopped 57 shots in a 1-0 loss to Team Sweden, earning him and his team a Silver Medal.
The Blades are currently planning to honour Andrey for his achievements prior to the game. Two other players are expected to be honoured as well. Blades forward Lukas Sutter will be recognized for his Player of the Month award for December while Nick Zajac will also be awarded for representing Team West at the recent World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.
Tomorrow's game will be the 5th meeting of the season between the Blades and Pats and great seats are still available for the game and for the rest of the season!
