The Saskatoon Blades won their seventh straight game on Friday, defeating the Prince Albert Raiders 6-1 at SaskTel Centre.

The Blades dominant play at home continued as they picked up their 12th straight victory on home ice and improved their home record to 23-1-1-0. You have to go all the way back to Oct. 24th, 2023 for the Blades last regulation loss at their arena.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten extended his point streak to six games (7G, 4A) with a three-point (1G, 2A) performance. The Vancouver, BC native has lived up to the hype since being acquired by the Blue and Gold on Nov. 24th, potting 13 goals and 26 points in 20 games. In 27 games overall, Minten has 16 goals and 36 points.

Nashville Predators prospect Tanner Molendyk and Washington Capitals prospect Alexander Suzdalev both picked up their 100th career WHL point in the win. Molendyk finished the night with a goal and an assist, while Suzdalev picked up an assist.

Rookie netminder Evan Gardner remained undefeated on home ice with a 19-save performance. The NHL draft-eligible goalie is 15-5-0-2 in his 17-year-old season and has won his last three starts.

If Saskatoon beats the Swift Current Broncos tomorrow night at the InnovationPlex in any capacity, the Bridge City Bunch will become the first team to clinch a playoff spot in the 2024 WHL postseason.

NEXT GAME: The Blades hope to clinch a playoff spot with a win Saturday in Swift Current against the Broncos.

Puck drop is 7:00pm CT.
