Blades Obtain Acolatse from Seattle

Saskatoon Blades General Manager and Head Coach Lorne Molleken announced today that club has acquired forward Sena Acolatse (Edmonton, AB) from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for forward Burke Gallimore.

Acolatse, a 19-year-old, is in his fourth season in the league. The 5'11", 207-pounder has 13 goals and 9 assists for 22 points and has added 35 penalty minutes. Originally selected by the Thunderbirds in the 4th round (76th overall) in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft, Acolatse has 27 goals and 51 assists for 78 points and 346 penalty minutes in his WHL career. The right winger earned an invite to the training camp of the Phoenix Coyotes this past fall.

The Blades give up Gallimore, an 18-year-old, who is in his second full season in the league. The 6'0", 210-pounder has 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points this season to go along with 16 penalty minutes. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Gallimore has 38 goals and 38 assists for 76 points to go along with 33 penalty minutes in his WHL career. Originally selected by the Spokane Chiefs in the 2nd round (23rd overall) in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft, Gallimore was acquired by the Blades from the Chiefs along with forward Chris Langkow and a conditional 3rd round Bantam Draft pick in 2009 for Justin McCrae. After going undrafted in the past summer's NHL Entry Draft, Gallimore earned an invite this fall to the rookie camp of the Edmonton Oilers.
