Blades Lay Season on the Line against London

The Saskatoon Blades lay their season on the line tonight against the London Knights at the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

Tonight's game is the tie-breaker game at the event, with a loss ending one of the team's seasons. The winner of tonight's game will go head to head with the Portland Winterhawks in tomorrow night's MasterCard Memorial Cup semi-final game.

To add fuel to the fire for the Blades, tonight's game will be a chance for revenge against the Knights. Saskatoon kicked off the tournament with a 3-2 loss to London last Friday night here at the Credit Union Centre. The Blades will be looking to bounce back from that and looking to bounce back from last night, when they lost 4-2 to the WHL Champion Portland Winterhawks.

The Blades will look to find more secondary offense tonight against London. Josh Nicholls currently leads the team with 6 points through 3 games at the event, while the next closest of his teammates have 2 points each. Saskatoon will also be counting on Andrey Makarov to be good tonight. The Buffalo Sabres prospect was out-dueled by Mac Carruth in last night's 4-2 loss.

The puck drop for tonight goes just after 6:00PM.
