Red Deer, AB - Chase Wouters' & Nolan Maier's 200th & 100th Western Hockey League games, respectively, have been soured by a 2-1 loss to the Rebels in Red Deer.

Overage forward Riley McKay scored his second goal of the season at the 16:01 mark of the second period to tie the game after Red Deer took the lead in the opening frame. The tic-tac-toe goal was beautifully assisted by Aidan De La Gorgendiere and Cyle McNabb.

The Rebels' re-took their lead just over five minutes later on the man advantage and firmed for a 2-1 lead with both teams going scoreless in the third.

Red Deer's netminder Ethan Anders was outstanding in goal, stopping 34 of 35 shots he faced for .971 save percentage. Maier was also strong in his crease, finishing with a .917 save percentage.

Saskatoon are in action again immediately on Wednesday night in Lethbridge as they take on the Hurricanes.

The Blades' next home game is at 4pm Sunday, October 6th, against the Brandon Wheat Kings and features the Blades' first Mosaic Family Skate Day where fans can skate with the team post-game.
