
Blackhawks Clarify Norfolk Situation

Blackhawks General Manager Mike Smith today put an end to the rumor that the Chicago Blackhawks are planning to move their minor league affiliation from Norfolk to Peoria for the 2002-03 hockey season.
"I have had no discussions with Peoria," said Smith. We are in the process of finalizing any changes to our present agreement with Norfolk and those discussions will continue."
The Blackhawks have been affiliated with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League for the past two seasons.
