
Black Wolves Sign Downing

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves announced today that veteran defenseman Greg Downing has been signed to a one-year contract.
Per team policy, no details were released.
Downing, who joined the Black Wolves as a free agent prior to the 2018-19 season, is an 11-year NLL veteran. He saw action in all 18 games for New England last season, picking up one goal and five assists. He also had a career-high 118 loose ball pickups and caused 26 turnovers.
In 172 career games, the 6-foot-1 defenseman has 92 career points on 19 goals and 73 assists. He also has 842 loose balls and 183 caused turnovers. In 10 career playoff appearances, Downing has four points on two goals and two assists to go along with 51 loose balls and six caused turnovers.
