Black Wolves Acquire Two, Re-Sign Brown

UNCASVILLE, CT. - Following the 2020 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft, the New England Black Wolves have acquired John Uppgren and Andrew Mullen as well as welcomed back Bailey Brown.
On Thursday, Oct. 1 John Uppgren signed a two-year agreement with the Pack. The 2016 Tufts University graduate currently sits as an Assistant Coach with the Jumbos' men's lacrosse team. In four seasons at Tufts, he was a member of two NCAA Championship teams, finished third all- ¬â¹time in DIII scoring (418 points) on 237 goals and 181 assists and won four NESCAC Championships.
Brown signed a two-year agreement on Monday, Oct. 19 and returns to the Black Wolves for his second year in the NLL. The 6-3 goalkeeper was acquired by New England with the 61st overall pick in the 2019 NLL Draft. Brown played for the Toronto Beaches in the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League from 2016-2019 and was a member of the Pack's practice squad for the duration of the 2019-20 season.
It was announced on Friday, Oct. 23 that Mullen also signed a two-year contract with New England. Originally drafted by the Black Wolves in the 2016 NLL Entry Draft, 56th overall, Mullen will look to make his debut for the NLL in the 2020-21 season. The Toronto, ON. native joins the Pack after playing hockey at Ryerson University for the past three seasons. The 6-3 defenseman has appeared in 36 regular season games and seven postseason contests.
