
New York Riptide Sign Jean-Luc Chetner

NEW YORK - The New York Riptide announced today that the team has signed forward Jean-Luc Chetner to a two-year deal. Per team policy, specific terms of the deals were not disclosed.
"Jean-Luc is a young and hungry player that we feel has a bright future in the NLL. We are excited to have Jean-Luc join the Riptide," said Riptide Head Coach and General Manager Regy Thorpe.
Chetner is a left-handed forward entering his second season in the NLL. At 5-9, 170-pound, Chetner played 11 games his rookie season netting five goals and 11 assists. The Riptide picked up Chetner in the eleventh-round of the 2019 NLL Expansion Draft.
The NLL awarded the New York franchise to live events and sports media entertainment company GF Sports in December 2018. The Riptide will play home games at NYCB LIVE, Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum when it begins play in December for the 2019-20 NLL season.
