Berkshire Black Bears News Release
PITTSFIELD-The Berkshire Black Bears are looking for local high school athletes or booster club members! The Black Bears are offering a unique money making opportunity for high school sports teams. The "Black Bears Bonus Book" program enlists local athletes and booster club members to sell discounted grandstand tickets to Black Bear games. Each "Black Bears Bonus Book" contains 12 tickets for the price of 10. For every book sold by a team member or booster club supporter, that team or organization gets to keep 25% of the money raised.
Black Bears General Manager Mike Kardamis said, "The cost of outfitting high school sports teams with good equipment is high and it gets higher every year. Some schools just can't afford new equipment and this is our way of trying to help. Selling the Bonus Books will raise a lot more money for a team in a lot less time. We don't want to see any kids not get the chance to play because their school couldn't afford equipment for the team."
Coaches, Booster Club organizers and Athletic Directors interested in the "Black Bears Bonus Book" program should contact the Berkshire Black Bears at 413-448-2255. Participation in the program is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
