Maryland Black Bears News Release
ODENTON, MD - The Maryland Black Bears lost to the Northeastern Generals 4-1 Saturday night. The Generals came out firing by building a 3-0 lead in the first period. Black Bears Patrick Choi and Jonathan Young saw decent chances throughout the game but were unable to convert against the stonewall performance from Generals goalie, David Fessenden, who saved 34 of the 35 Black Bear shots.
The Black Bears were finally able to get on the board in the third period. Marek Wazny had the goal with assists from Patrick Choi and Joseph Mancuso on a Black Bears power play. Frustration boiled over with less than five minutes left in the game as Black Bears Forward Nick Grimaldi brawled with Cam Gaudette from the Generals.
The Maryland Black Bears play the Northeastern Generals tomorrow at 4:30 PM as they will seek out revenge after the tough loss.
