JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks moved their winning streak to 12 games with a 7-2 win over the New Jersey Titans Saturday night.
On Star Wars Night, the Tomahawks used the force in the first period, exploding for four goals.
Johnstown earned the game's first tally when Carson Brière completed a power play chance after pass from Sam Solensky. Oliver Benwell assisted on the goal.
The Titans rallied to tie the game at 1 after Bryce Witman deflected a pass from Eric Manoukian from the point for his fourth of the season.
From there, the Tomahawks controlled the period.
At 13:50 of the first stanza, Austin Friesen deposited a loose biscuit in front of Titans goalie Brandon Perrone for a 2-1 Tomahawks lead. His first of the season was assisted by Cameron Hebert and Benwell.
Brière added his second power play goal of the game at 17:50 of the period. Benwell and Hunter Toale assisted on Brière's 14th of the season.
At 19:10, Colin Price made it 4-1 Johnstown, his fourth of the season.
Johnstown picked up the goal scoring in the second period just three minutes into the frame.
