Jim Harrison came on in relief and pitched 5 2/3 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 7 hits while walking 5 and striking out 3. Mike Minerva came on for the final two innings. He walked no one and struck out 2.

The story of the night was the silence from the Black Bear bats.
