TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons open up the 125th season of professional baseball in Buffalo with the first game of a four-game series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees at PNC Field (7:05 p.m.). Tonight's game is also the start of a six-game roadtrip as the Herd will also play two in Syracuse, April 12-13. The Bisons 2010 Home Opener is Wednesday, April 14 against the Pawtucket Red Sox.

ROLLIN' STONE: RHP TOBI STONER: gets the ball on Opening Day for the Herd. The 25-year old is coming off a breakout 2009 campaign that saw him go from Double-A Binghamton to making his major league debut with the Mets. In-between, Stoner was 7-7 with a 3.96ERA in 16 starts with the Bisons. He finished T1st on the team in wins (7), T2nd in starts (16), 3rd in innings pitched (97.2IP) and 5th in strikeouts (64).

TOP PROSPECTS: Three of the Mets top prospects by Baseball America will start the season with the Herd. OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ (No. 3) returns to Buffalo after leading the IL in extra-base hits in 2009 before his big league promotion in June. INF IKE DAVIS (No. 4) hit 20 homers last year between St. Lucie (A) and Binghamton (AA). C JOSH THOLE (No. 8) hit .328 with the B-Mets before skipping straight to New York late last season.

MVP RETURN: OF JESUS FELICIANO is back for his second season with the Bisons. Last year, Feliciano collected 154 hits, three more than any other hitter in the International League, and was named the Bisons Stan Barron Most Valuable Player. The hit total was also tied for the 5th most in a single season in the Bisons Modern Era. Feliciano has averaged .311 in each of the past three seasons with the Mets' Triple-A club.

UNBEATEN SPRING: The Bisons were unbeaten in their 10-game spring exhibition schedule against the Triple-A affiliates of Florida and St. Louis. Buffalo finished camp with a 7-0-2 record (1 rainout) against New Orleans and Memphis. The Bisons averaged 6.1 runs/game this spring.

METS UPDATE: The New York Mets (1-1) rallied late, but fell to the Florida Marlins at Citi Field last night, 7-6, in 10 innings. New York trailed 6-1, but scored two in the 7th inning and three in the 8th to force extra innings. OF JASON BAY went 1-3 with a pair of walks in his second game with the team. New York, however, was outhit 17-6 in the loss. The Mets host the Marlins again tonight at 7:10 p.m.
