TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Syracuse SkyChiefs in a doubleheader that will conclude their four-game series from Alliance Bank Stadium (Game 1, 5:00 p.m.). The Herd leads the set, 2-0, following a 3-1 victory yesterday afternoon. Buffalo will turn to RHP Hyang-Nam Choi, who has thrown five shutout innings in each of his last two starts. The Herd will then turn to the bullpen to piece together game two. Syracuse will counter with RHP Shaun Marcum in game one and RHP Josh Banks in game two.

VS NORTH: At 18-13, the Bisons have the best divisional record in the International League North. The Herd is in the middle of a 17-game stretch against divisional teams. Buffalo is 4-1 in the first five games of the stretch.

ALL-STARS: During yesterday's game, the International League named outfielder Jason Dubois and infielder Andy Marte to their 2006 All-Star Team. Dubois leads the team with 20 doubles and is second with 46RBI. Marte, who has nine home runs in 22 games this month, is tied with Ryan Garko for the team lead with 11 homers.

STILL GOING: Ben Francisco extended his hit streak to 13 games Wednesday afternoon with a single in four at-bats. The outfielder has averaged .296 (16-54) over the stretch. Francisco, who has hit .286 (24-84) in 21 starts in the leadoff position, has scored a run in eight of his last nine games (nine total runs).

RED HOT BAT: Over the last six games, Jason Alfaro has averaged.478 (11-23) with a home run and six RBI. The hot streak has continued on the road as Alfaro has gone 5-8 (.625) in the first two games against Syracuse. In 16 games since joining the Bisons, Alfaro has hit .293 (17-58) with three home runs and 10RBI.

BRING 'EM IN: Ryan Garko remains in third place in the International League in RBI (49) after he added to his total yesterday against the SkyChiefs. Behind Garko in the RBI-chase is Jason Dubois, whose 46 runs driven in are tied for eighth in the league.

THRUWAY SERIES: At 7-5, the Bisons are now just a half game behind Rochester (7-4) in the Thruway Cup Series standings.
