Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the second game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo opened up the short homestand with a 2-1 win in 13 innings over the PawSox on Friday. The Herd has now won 11 of its last 14 contests. The Bisons trail Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by 3.5 games in the IL North division.
vs. Red Sox
The Bisons are 8-2 against the Red Sox this season. Buffalo has not won nine games in a season against Pawtucket since going 10-6 against the PawSox in 2008. A tightly-played season series, the winning team has scored three or fewer runs in six of the 10 contests.
Phillippe Aumont
RHP PHILLIPPE AUMONT will make Bisons' starting debut tonight. The righty worked an inning of relief on Wednesday night for the Herd in Syracuse. Aumont was 3-4 with a 2.35 ERA in 14 games and 10 starts with the IronPigs to start the season. He allowed just one earned run in two relief appearances against the PawSox in April (6.0 IP, 7 SO).
MattVP
INF MATT HAGUE was named the International League Player of the Month for July today. The veteran hit .376 (44-117) with four homers, 27 RBI and a .985 OPS in 28 games last month. Hague also started for the IL in the Triple-A All-Star Game and went 1-3 with an RBI. Hague continues to top the IL in average (.349), hits (141) and RBI (75).
Andy Burns
INF ANDY BURNS brings an eight-game hit streak into action tonight. The Triple-A rookie has averaged .412 (14-34) with four doubles and six RBI in July 24. Last night he picked up his 100th hit on the season, good for 12th-most in the International League.
Jon Berti
INF JON BERTI hit the walk-off RBI-double in the 13th as part of his four-hit game. Berti has now reached in seven straight games and nine of 11 since being promoted to the Bisons on July 20.

The Bisons have added LHP COLT HYNES and RHP RYAN TEPERA to their roster. Hynes has been promoted from New Hampshire (AA) where he was 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 10 relief appearances. Tepera returns from his second stint with the Blue Jays. He's 0-1 with a 2.28 ERA in 21 games with Toronto this year.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (53-51) won their third straight, 7-6 over the Royals in 10 innings. Toronto trailed 3-0 and 6-3 before Josh Donaldson won it in the 10th with a walk-off single. The Blue Jays today recalled Bisons INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI. Toronto hosts Kansas City today at 1:07 p.m.
