TODAY'S GAME: Today, the Buffalo Bisons square off with the Pawtucket Red Sox in the 7th Annual "Futures at Fenway" at Fenway Park. The teams will play in the second half of a doubleheader that begins with Boston's Class-A affiliate Lowell Spinners playing the Hudson Valley Renegades (1:05 p.m.). The Bisons will face the PawSox again on Sunday at McCoy Stadium before returning home for a 10-game homestand against the Yankees and Red Wings.

vs. RED SOX: The Bisons are 6-8 against the Red Sox this season. The road team has won 10 of the 14 games in the season series with the Bisons holding a 4-2 mark at McCoy Stadium. Last year, Buffalo collected just one victory in seven games in Pawtucket.

McHUGH: RHP COLLIN MCHUGH will make his 12th start of the season. On Monday, the righty allowed just one run in 5.2 innings of a no-decision against the PawSox at Coca-Cola Field. McHugh has not allowed more than four runs in any of his last nine starts but has just one victory. In 2011's Futures at Fenway game on August 20, McHugh started for Binghamton (AA) and threw six shutout innings in the B-Mets' 6-4 win in 11 innings over Portland.

MONSTER TAMER: OF FRED LEWIS played eight games at Fenway in 2010 while with Toronto. The veteran hit .305 (11-36) in Boston with two doubles, two RBI, two stolen bases, four runs scored and four multi-hit performances. Lewis started six of those games in left field and did not commit an error.

BEANTOWN: OF MATT DEN DEKKER is the only other active Bison that played for Binghamton in last year's Futures at Fenway. He started in centerfield and went 1-5. INF MATT TUIASOSOPO started two games in Boston while with Seattle in 2010 (3-8, 2B, RBI) and OF ADAM LOEWEN made two starts as a pitcher for Baltimore in 2006 (7.2IP, 9H, 10ER, 8K). The only Bison to pitch at Fenway as a Red Sox is RHP FERNANDO CABRERA with a total of five games between 2009-2010 (4.2IP, 6H, 6ER, 5K).

BISONS NOTES: OF FRED LEWIS stole his 22nd base last night, the most for a Bisons player since INF Brent Abernathy stole 27 in 2004...LHP C.J. NITKOWSKI has not allowed an earned run over 13 appearances and 10.1 innings between the Bisons and Binghamton (AA)...OF MATT DEN DEKKER has 16RBI in 13 games since August 6, four more than any IL hitter. He's averaged .292 (14-48) with two doubles and seven runs during the stretch.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (56-63) lost 6-4 to the Nationals last night. OF SCOTT HAIRSTON had three doubles and former Bisons C KELLY SHOPPACH homered in his New York debut.
