
Bisons Activate OF Vinny Rottino

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF VINNY ROTTINO has been added to the team's active roster. He was optioned to the Herd by the Mets on Friday.
Buffalo also announced that INF BOBBY SCALES has been placed on the temporary inactive list. The veteran infielder intends to sign with a team in Japan.
Rottino, 32, had his contract selected by the Mets on May 4 and played in three games with the Mets (0-4 at the plate). Rottino played in each of the Bisons first 27 games of the season. He hit .317 (33-104) with a home run and 14RBI with the Herd. He returns with a 14-game hit streak over which he has averaged .339 (19-56).
Scales hit .339 (37-109) with 10 doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and 16 runs scored in 32 games with the Bisons. His average ranks 6th-best in the International League while his .459 on-base percentage is the 2nd-highest mark in the circuit. Scales signed a minor league contract with the Mets on April 1 this year.
