Buffalo Bisons News Release
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they have activated INF ANDY GREEN off the team's disabled list. Green had missed the first 12 games of the season with a right hamstring strain.
Green will be available for tonight's game in Rochester against the Red Wings (6:35 p.m.).
Green, 32, played 50 games with the Bisons in 2009 and hit .259 (45-174) with seven doubles, a triple, four home runs and 20RBI. He missed 79 games last season because of a left oblique strain to begin the year and a fractured left thumb suffered on May 2. Green also appeared in four games for the New York Mets in 2009, getting one hit in four at-bats.
Green is a career .298-hitter in 821 minor league games. He joined the Mets' organization as a free agent on July 2, 2008. That year, Green hit .331 (59-178) over the final 52 games of the year with the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs.
