Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (5-7) play Game One of a mini two-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (5-7) -- Boston's top affiliate. With a 2-1 win last night over first-place Syracuse (8-4), the 'Pigs snapped a two-game skid to split the four-game series against the Chiefs. Lehigh Valley is now to 3-3 on this eight-game, Northern Division homestand... Meanwhile, the Paw Sox lost 4-3 at Rochester last night to split their four-game series at Frontier Field...
LHP Joe Savery (0-0, 5.40) will start for the IronPigs against Red Sox rehabbing RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka (1-0, 0.00).
First-pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park.
NOTE:
RHP Brad Lidge is expected to rehab with LHV tomorrow night. All ML rehabs are sponsored Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network.
