JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Biscuits (54-55) went 1-10 with men in scoring position and the Jacksonville Suns (55-54) pulled away late, clinching the series with a 6-2 beating of the Biscuits Wednesday at the Baseball Grounds.

The Biscuits held two separate leads, both 1-0 and 2-1, but a Ryan Curry two-out RBI-triple capped a two-run fourth to give the Suns the lead for good. They'd add three more in the eighth against Neil Schenk to bring the game to its final margin.

The Biscuits had ample opportunities while trailing 3-2. Back-to-back walks to start the seventh chased Suns starter Bryan Evans (1-0), but the Biscuits were unable to score, leaving the bases loaded. They'd strand two more in the eighth.

Evans was the winner in his first double-A start, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits while fanning six over six-plus. Alex Colome (1-1) suffered his first loss since mid-June, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out six over 6.1.

Cole Figueroa led the Biscuits offense with a 2-4 night.

A pair of right-handers face off in the finale Thursday at 6:05 CT with Nick Barnese toeing the rubber for the Biscuits and Dallas Trahern countering for the Suns.
