
Biscuits Stall 5-2 in Series Finale

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Chattanooga Lookouts (30-27) defeated the Montgomery Biscuits (23-27) 5-2 in convincing fashion Sunday afternoon in the series finale.
The Lookouts had double the number of base hits compared to the Biscuits en route to their win. Only four Biscuits were able to obtain a base hit, Curtis Mead, Austin Shenton, Brett Wisely, and Grant Witherspoon.
After four scoreless innings, Chattanooga went on to score in three-consecutive. In the fourth, catcher James Free got the Lookouts on the board with an RBI-single. In the fifth, Chattanooga's third baseman Michael De Leon hit an RBI-double that grew the lead to 2-0. In the top of sixth, TJ Hopkins and Free both struck home runs off Justin Sterner before Trevor Brigden replaced him.
In the top of the inning, Lookouts first baseman Alex McGarry delivered the Lookouts' third home run of the day as he blasted a solo to right center field to go up 5-0. In the bottom of the ninth, Austin Shenton prevented the Biscuit's third shut out of the season as he smashed a two-run home run to right center for it to be 5-2.
Taj Bradley was handed the loss, his first in his Double-A career as the Biscuits split the six-game series. The Biscuits will head to Madison, Ala. third place in the South Division as they face the Rocket City Pandas (34-23) for the first time of the season.
