Owen Sound Attack News Release
Jordan Binnington has a long list of achievements on his resume. He is an OHL Champion, Memorial Cup All-Star, Memorial Cup Top Goaltender, NHL Prospect and now Owen Sound's All Time Wins Leader after setting the new mark last night in a 4-0 shutout over the Kitchener Rangers.
The Gravenhurst native stopped 35 shots last night to collect his 66th career win to move him past Curtis Sanford on the All-Time list. Sanford, an Owen Sound native and arguably one of the most popular players in franchise history spent four seasons in an Owen Sound uniform from 1996-2000.
The 19 year old St. Louis Blue Prospect was obviously overjoyed after the win. "I'm so happy right now and I'm happy with how it happened ... it's really an honor," said Binnington.
"There are so many great goalies in this organization and I've been very fortunate to have been on a couple very good teams."
Binnington's accomplishment will be recognized at ice-level prior to Wednesday evening's home game by the Attack organization.
In honor of Jordan, the Attack is offering a special ticket package for fans wanting to join in the celebration on Wednesday evening against Barrie. Fans can purchase Two (2) tickets to Wednesday's game for just $31.00 by either visiting the Attack Box Office or calling (519) 371-7452. The first 750 fans will also receive a Jordan Binnington poster upon entry to the building.
Binnington and the Attack are at home to the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday afternoon. Game time at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is 2:00pm.
