March 12, 2011 - NBA G League (G League)
Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev.- After trailing most of the second half, the Reno Bighorns used a 22-8 run over the game's final six minutes Friday night to clip the Utah Flash, 109-101, in the Reno Events Center.

Reno (26-15) trailed by six points with 6:10 remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Bighorns would go on a 10-0 run over the next three-and-a-half minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish. The Bighorns have now won four of their last five and 11 of their last 14 as the postseason approaches.

"Our ballclub over the last two weeks has been a very good fourth-quarter team," said Bighorns Head Coach Eric Musselman. "We got down, but the guys didn't hang their heads."

Danny Green buried five three pointers on his way to a game-high 36 points, setting a new Bighorns team-season high. Green hit 10-of-15 tries from the field and converted 11-of-14 attempts from the charity stripe. Bobby Simmons, playing his first game with Reno, notched eight points, seven boards and two assists in 34 minutes off the bench.

"We rode the hot hand of Danny Green," Musselman said. "And it was good to get Bobby Simmons in the flow for us."

Anthony Richardson collected a double-double for the ‘Horns with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Salim Stoudamire scored 15.

Utah (23-16) featured a balanced scoring attack Friday, with six Flash players finishing in double figures. Brandon Costner and Tony Gaffney scored 16 points apiece, and Ronald Dupree added 15.

Reno won the rebounding battle 45-38 and held the Flash to 20 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Reno and Utah will clash once again on Saturday night. Tip-time is set for 7 p.m. in the Reno Events Center. Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased by calling (775) 284-2622 or visiting ticketmaster.com or the Silver Legacy box office.
