Blades Notes
- With the playoffs around the corner, the best way to catch the action is to get your hands on a Blades playoff ticket package! Packages are on sale now and they will give you GREAT savings compared to walk-up prices.
- Individual playoff tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday at 10:00 AM, so make sure you get your seat reserved by buying a playoff ticket package by calling the Blades office at 975-8844!
- It pays to be a Season Ticket Holder of the Saskatoon Blades! Saturday's game against the Broncos marks Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Night. Season ticket holders will be recognized at the game and have an increased chance of winning great prizes throughout the game.
- With the year winding down, it also means it's the last chance for fans to use Flex Packs that have been purchased throughout the year. Don't let the tickets go to waste, come out and enjoy the game!
- Prior to the game, the first 1000 fans in the building will get a special gift from our friends at SaskTel. Those gifts are Saskatoon Blades hats! Don't miss the great chance to get some FREE Blades gear courtesy of SaskTel!
- The game will also mark a special occasion for the Saskatoon Blades, Ackland's Grainger and the Children's Wish Foundation. Every year the Blades have an appointed 'Point Man', with Ackland's Grainger donating $50 to the Children's Wish Foundation for each point that player scores. Josh Nicholls is this year's point man.
- Before the game, Nicholls will take part in the ceremonial puck drop, along with a Wish Child and representatives from Ackland's Grainger and the Children's Wish Foundation. With 64 points so far this year, Nicholls has raised over $3000 for the Children's Wish Foundation!
- Along with all the festivities, the Blades will also have members of the Green and White in attendance to sign autographs! That's right, the Saskatchewan Roughriders! The players will be Graeme Bell, Keith Shologan and Chris McKenzie.
- What happened to former Blade Duncan MacPherson? That's the question many people have asked since Duncan disappeared over 20 years ago. Well, a new book might just have all the answers. The book "Cold A Long Time" by author John Leake is now available in the Saskatoon Blades team store. Not only will it answer questions, but 25% of all book sales will go towards Duncan's parents, who spent their retirement money looking for answers into their sons disappearance.
- You can see a poster for the book by clicking here. You can see a video about the book here. Or you can visit the book's website here. Please support the great cause.
- Following the game this Saturday, the Saskatoon Blades will also be presenting the North Ridge Developments Player Awards. The ceremony will take place on the ice following the game as the Blades name their major award winners. Who will be the Blades MVP, Top Rookie or Top Defenceman? Find out on Saturday after the game!
- As you all know, the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup is coming to Saskatoon! The best way to get your seat for that event now is to buy a Blades season ticket for next year! All it takes is a $50 deposit to ensure your season seat for next year as well as to lock in your same seat for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup, so make sure you call 975-8844 today.
- We want to thank all the fans for their support in the 2011-2012 season and we look forward to hearing you cheer us on in the postseason!
