Florence, Kentucky: A good Monday crowd of 2,706 fans came out to Champion Window Field for Dollar Monday. It was the concluding game of a six game homestand that saw the Freedom struggle against Windy City at home. The struggles were put in the rear view mirror last night.

The Freedom scored early and often, Beau Blacken doubled in Reggie Watson to put the Freedom on the board first. Nick Salotti slammed his first pro homerun to left field in the second to make it a 2-0 game. The flood gates were opened in the fifth, the scoring was started on a Beau Blacken two run single. DH Josh Lex then doubled in two more. Truman Merak doubled to left center to score Eddie Gonzalez. The inning was capped off by a RBI double by Reggie Watson. In total, nine runs crossed the plate in the fifth, just one run shy of the Freedom record for runs in one inning. Rockford tried to catch up, but failed, the Freedom won 11-7.
