AMARILLO, TX - An eight-run fifth inning propelled the San Angelo Colts over the Amarillo Dillas on Friday night 11-4, ending Amarillo's eight-game home winning streak in front of 2,841 fans at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa.

Dillas starter Dustin Taylor (3-6) got the loss as he went four-and-a-third innings and allowed seven earned runs, walked five and struck out five. Colts starter Ezequiel Astacio (8-1) got the win as he went seven and allowed all four Dillas runs.

The Colts took another first inning lead as Richard Paz and Selwyn Langaigne both delivered RBI singles. Brian Frichter delivered a second inning RBI for a 3-0 Colts lead.

Amarillo got one of the runs back in the second as Trent Lockwood singled, stole second, went to third on an Andrew Wong singled and scored on an Angel Reyes RBI fielder's choice for a 3-1 deficit. Amarillo tied the game in the third inning as two wild pitches scored Lockwood and Keanon Simon for a 3-3 tie game.

San Angelo broke things open in the fifth with eight runs off five hits including a Dillas error for an 11-3 Colts lead. Amarillo scored one more in the seventh as a Simon single was followed by a Figueroa RBI double for a 11-4 score.

That would be all the scoring for either side as the Colts defeated the Dillas 11-4.

With the loss, the Dillas fall to 38-31, while the Colts improve to 45-25. Saturday, Amarillo will host San Angelo for the third game of a four-game series at 7:05pm with Dillas Pre-Game set to begin at 6:55pm on AudioSportsOnline.net. Game time is tentative and is subject to blackout.
