Big East Showdown Coming to New Britain

New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT- The New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, announced today that the University of Connecticut Huskies Baseball team will play a Big East Conference game at New Britain Stadium on Friday, May 18 at 6:00 PM against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. This marks the second time in as many years that New Britain Stadium has hosted Big East Baseball. UConn beat Georgetown in both games of a double-header in the Hardware City last season.
Tickets are now on sale for the UConn-Notre Dame college baseball game and are $5.00 for General Admission and $3.00 for groups of 15 or more. To purchase tickets, please contact the New Britain Stadium Box Office (M-F 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Fans interested in the convenience of on-line purchasing may secure tickets in that manner by visiting the Rock Cats website, www.rockcats.com.
Additionally, the UConn Alumni Association, Greater Hartford Chapter is hosting an event at New Britain Stadium, prior to the game. For information regarding this event, please contact the Alumni Association at 888-882-5861.
