Calgary Hitmen News Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen welcomed the Edmonton Oil Kings for a rare 11:00 a.m. start for the annual TELUS Be Brave #EndBullying Game. Calgary returned to the win column with a 6-3 victory over the visitors.

Edmonton opened up the scoring on their first shot of the game 10 seconds in from Landon Hanson. Oliver Tulk would answer back scoring on a breakaway to tie it five minutes later. Maxim Muranov continued the momentum, notching his 17th of the season to take the lead for Calgary. The second period would see Tulk's second of the game and the lone goal of the period, scoring short-handed making it 3-1.

Connor Dale kicked off scoring in the third for his first tally as a Hitmen. A power play goal from Reese Hamilton would follow, putting Calgary up by four. Edmonton finally cracked the scoresheet again in the last two minutes, finding the back of the net twice with goals from Adam Jecho and Cole Miller. Muranov answered back for his second of the game to make the final score 6-3.

Today's win puts Calgary one point out of playoff position behind the Lethbridge Hurricanes and two points behind Prince Albert Raiders for seventh in the Eastern Conference.
