HARLINGEN, TX - Despite dropping two one-run leads, the Amarillo Dillas finished off the game in grand style with 11 hits and six runs in the final four innings to defeat the first-half champion Rio Grande Valley White Wings 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon at Harlingen Field in front of 885 fans.

Amarillo took an early lead as Jonathan Reynoso led off with a single, went to second on a Josh Ashton sacrifice bunt and scored on a Gary Schneidmiller double for a one-run lead. Rio Grande Valley came back with a run of their own in the first as David Cardona hit into a fielder's choice to score Omar Bramasco from third to tie the game. The White Wings took the lead in the third on an RBI double by Ryan Fox to move ahead 2-1.

The Dillas took their second lead of the game in the sixth as Carlos Figueroa singled with the bases loaded to score Rick Owens Jr. and Jordan Ramos to take a one-run lead. The White Wings would come back in the sixth as Luany Sanchez scored on a Brian Nichols single to tie the game 3-3.

Amarillo would take another lead in the eighth as singles by Figueroa and Danny Bravo put runners on first and second. Schneidmiller hit a sacrifice bunt to move the runners in scoring position while Jack Chapman was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out. Owens came up and hit a high flyball to right field for a sacrifice fly to score the go-ahead run for a 4-3 lead.
