Philadelphia Union II News Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - With the 2018 regular season winding down, Bethlehem Steel FC has chosen to partner with the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley to #BootBreastCancer on October 14.

Before Steel FC battles the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Goodman Stadium on the campus of Lehigh University, Steel FC fans will have numerous opportunities to aid in the fight against breast cancer. For the first time in club history, Steel FC has created pink warmups that will be available for auction starting today. The auction includes signed warmups from Philadelphia Union and Bethlehem Steel FC players and the Steel FC coaching staff. In addition to the winning bids claiming a one-of-a-kind kit, all bids for contracted Steel FC players will include a special dinner at Taps Tavern following the match. All bids will take place exclusively online here. Fans at the match will be able to see the updated bids and the actual jerseys on the concourse but all bids and transactions will take place online.

In addition to signed warmups, Steel FC fans can purchase their tickets through a special ticket promotion to aid the Cancer Support Community. Steel FC is now selling special general admission tickets to the Oct. 14 contest for $12, with every ticket donating $5 to the organization. Fans wishing to take part in the special ticket plan can do so here.

All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the Sunday finale with the first 500 fans at Goodman Stadium getting a pink t-shirt to show their support for the #BootBreastCancer cause.

The mission of the Cancer Support Community is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community. The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley helps people affected by cancer actively engage in their health care, connect with others, reduce stress and isolation and restore hope for a better quality of life.
