Mississippi Braves News Release
The Mississippi Braves announce that IF Paul Bennett was reassigned to High-A Myrtle Beach Thursday and LHP Mike Gonzalez will wear number 54 while completing his rehab assignment in Mississippi.
Bennett hit .174 through 33 games in Mississippi. He had two doubles, a triple, eight RBI and eight runs scored through 86 AA at-bats. Bennett's best game in Mississippi came on 5/17 vs. Chattanooga when he went 2-4 with two runs scored in the Braves 9-2 win over the Lookouts.
The M-Braves roster now has 22 active players, three disabled players and one Major League rehab.
