Inter Miami CF News Release
Inter Miami CF Homegrown midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi has been called up to represent the U.S. Men's Olympic Team for Domestic Training Camp in Phoenix, Arizona, October 8th through the 18th.
Cremaschi is set to join the U.S. Men's Olympic Team in Phoenix, Arizona from October 8th to 18th. This training camp is set to kick off preparations for the U.S. men's first olympic appearance since Beijing 2008. The U.S. will play two games at Phoenix Rising Stadium, first facing Mexico on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET, before taking on Japan on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 10:30 p.m. ET at Phoenix Rising Stadium. He has been previously called up to a training camp for the United States under-20s in October 2022 to prepare for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Born in the United States, Cremaschi is of Argentine descent and is thus eligible to represent either country. The 18-year-old midfielder has previously represented both countries at the youth levels. Notably, he made his senior debut on the international arena with the USMNT last month, coming on as a second half substitute in the team's 4-0 win over Oman in a friendly on Sept. 12.
The young midfielder has impressed this year in his first season since being promoted to the Club's First Team after previously playing for the Inter Miami Academy and Inter Miami II. In all, Cremaschi has made 39 appearances across all competitions in 2023, registering three goals and seven assists. He was a key member in the team's 2023 Leagues Cup title-winning run, including scoring a goal in the thrilling matchup against FC Dallas in quarterfinals that resulted in a 4-4 draw before netting the decisive kick from the spot in the subsequent penalty shootout to secure the win.
