
Bend Elks Lost to the Kitsap Blue Jackets 11-7 on Thursday night

It was a poorly played game on Friday that saw 9 errors committed between the two teams, and the Bend Elks fell to the Kitsap Blue Jackets 11-7.
The worst of the damage was done in the 7th inning, where Kitsap erased a 7-2 defecit with 6 runs, the critical blow coming by way of Kitsap 3rd baseman Jared Casper, who took the first pitch from Elks reliever Brandon Snyder over the left field wall to give Kitsap an 8-7 lead.
Kyle Doyle got the start for the Elks on Thursday and was efficient in his outing, going 4 and 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 earned on four hits while striking out three.
Offensively, Parker Guinn, Tommy Pluschkell, and Jordan Copeland all had two hits each for the Elks, Logan Frandsen went 1-5 with 2 RBI, and Kyle Gallegos had an RBI and a run for the Elks, who fall to 8-6 on the season.
The rubber match of the 3 game series will take place Friday, 6:35 first pitch.
