Adirondack Frostbite News Release

GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Frostbite, in conjunction with the United Hockey League, announced today that Frostbite captain Hugo Belanger has been named to the league's Second-Team All-Star Team. Voting was conducted among the league's general managers, coaches, radio broadcasters, and media members.

This marks the sixth straight season that Belanger has earned post-season all-star accolades, although it ends a fun of five consecutive seasons on the league's First-Team All-Star squad. Belanger led the Frostbite in scoring this season with 98 points on 31 goals and 67 assists. Belanger has led Adirondack in scoring in each of his six seasons with the club, and this year marked the ninth straight season, and tenth overall in his career, that he led his team in scoring.

Belanger finished the season ranked fourth in the UHL in both points and assists. This was the first time since the 1996-97 season that Belanger failed to reach the 100-point mark in a season, although he missed five games during the month of March due to an injury.

The Frostbite resume their first-round, best-of-seven Colonial Cup Playoff Series against the Muskegon Fury on Wednesday at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Adirondack trails the series two games to none, but hosts the next three games. Tickets are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
