Bees Streak Snapped

(Burlington, IA)- Burlington saw it's four game winning streak come to an end as the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers powered their way past the Bees by the score of 6-4 at Community Field on Wednesday night.

Wisconsin struck first in a big way, scoring three runs in the first inning off of Bees' starter Clint Sharp, highlighted by a two run homer by Taylor Brennan.

The Bees' cut into the deficit with a run in the third on an groundout by Exicardo Cayones scoring Mark Shannon.

With the Timber Rattlers leading 4-1 in the fifth, Jose Pena sent a two run homer over the left field wall making the score 6-1.

The Bees would try to rally, with a run in, in the eighth inning, Anthony Bemboom crushed a two run homer to right cutting Wisconsin's lead to 6-4. The Bees could not muster any offense in the ninth, going down 1-2-3.

Bees' starter Clint Sharp (0-2) was charged with the loss after working 4.2 innings allowing six runs but just two earned. Anthony Banda (1-2) picked up the win while Havey Martin (1) earned the save.

The Bees and Timber Rattlers wrap up their four game series tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM. Michael Clevinger will get the start for the Bees and will be opposed by Tristan Archer for the Timber Rattlers.
