Burlington- IA - Pitching led the Bees to a 3- 0 victory on Tuesday night at Community Field Starting pitcher Elliot Morris struck out six in five innings in the home opener
Pitchers Elliot Morris and Blake Snell combined for 13 strikeouts early on on Tuesday Bees starter Elliot Morris pitched five scoreless innings allowing just one hit Bowling Green starting pitcher Blake Snell struck out seven in four and a third innings before being chased from the ball game in the fifth
Bees catcher Anthony Bemboom broke the scoreless tie with an two run triple to give the Bees a 2- 0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning
Burlington added to their lead with another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly from Kody Eaves scoring Anthony Bemboom making the score 3- 0
The Bees' relief pitchers Harrison Cooney and Alan Busenitz combined to toss four shutout innings to preserve the 3- 0 victory
Elliot Morris 1- 0 picked up the win while Bowling Green starter Blake Snell 0- 1 was charged with the loss Alan Busenitz 1 picked up the four out save to secure the win
