Salt Lake Bees News Release

The Salt Lake Bees dropped their fourth game in a row to the Sacramento River Cats Saturday night 6-5. The loss moved the Bees to 37-46 and gave the River Cats the win in the series.

Jose Rojas went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a triple, and a season-high four RBI on the night. Kean Wong went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Jo Adell hit his 12th home run of the season. Austin Warren worked a scoreless two innings of relief and gave up just one hit as he continued his rehab stint with the Bees.

Both teams scored the bulk of their runs in the early innings. Rojas hit his RBI-triple in the bottom of the first to get Salt Lake on the board and then hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the second. After three innings of play, the game was tied at 4-4.

Sacramento broke the tie in the seventh inning with a two-run home run to make it 6-4. Adell hit his solo shot in the eighth inning to cut the lead to just one.

The Bees had runners on first and third with two outs in the ninth, but could not bring one home to keep themselves alive.

Salt Lake will try to end the series on a good note tomorrow afternoon at 1:05 p.m.
