Bees Fall to Aces in Series Finale

The Salt Lake Bees managed just five hits in a 4-1 loss to the Reno Aces on Sunday afternoon. Angels starter Michael Lorenzen began his injury rehab assignment with Salt Lake and gave up single runs in the first and second inning. He went three innings and allowed the two runs on three hits with two strikeouts and one walk. With the Bees down 3-0, they finally got on the board in the fifth inning, as Chad Wallach singled, took second on a wild pitch and scored on a double by Jake Gatewood. Salt Lake would manage just two hits the rest of the way.

Janson Junk followed Lorenzen and gave up just one run on two hits in two and two-third innings and Gerardo Reyes pitched a scoreless eighth inning. No one for the Bees managed more than one hit in the game. Reno takes the series four games to two and now leads the season series 13-11.The Bees now trail the Aces by a season twelve games in the PCL West division.
