
Bees and Swing Cancelled

Burlington Bees News Release
Davenport, IA (May 15, 2007) - Tonight's game between the Burlington Bees and the Swing of the Quad Cities at John O'Donnell Stadium has been cancelled due to wet grounds. The Bees and Swing are not scheduled to play again in the first half, so this game will not be made up.
The Bees are off tomorrow and return to action Thursday night at Community Field for the first of a four-game series to being a 10-game home stand. The Bees have several exciting events planned for the home stand:
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday sponsored by The Sombrero Bar & Grill and Classic Hits KQ92. Fans get 2-for-$3 specials on bottles of Pepsi products and 2-for-$4 specials on cans of beer. Friday is an 11:30AM start for Honor Roll Day as over 2,300 students will be in attendance from across the region. Saturday is Friends and Family Night sponsored by Long John Silver's/A&W and Burlington's Flagship Station KCPS AM 1150 and is also Armed Forces Night with a special salute to the men and women serving our country and area veterans. The weekend wraps up with Community Basket Day on Sunday sponsored by the Chicken Lip Foundation. Also included in the homestand is a Fireworks Friday on May 25h for Sponsor Appreciate Night sponsored by Budweiser, J&M Displays, Hot 97 Dot 3, and Big Country 103.1 and Luke Hochevar Poster Giveaway Night on Saturday, May 26th sponsored by Doran & Ward Printing. Fans will receive a poster featuring the Hochevar, the #1 overall pick in the 2006 draft by the Kansas City Royals who made his Minor League debut with the Bees last August.
